Hunter Alignment Technology — Bristol, PA

Advanced Wheel Alignments

Lykon Automotive uses state-of-the-art Hunter alignment technology to provide precise four-wheel alignments for all makes and models. Proper wheel alignment is essential for even tire wear, optimal fuel economy, and safe handling.

Our Hunter alignment system provides a complete digital printout showing your vehicle's alignment measurements before and after the service, so you can see exactly what was corrected. This transparency sets us apart from other shops.

Signs you need an alignment include your vehicle pulling to one side, uneven tire wear, a crooked steering wheel when driving straight, or vibration in the steering wheel. We recommend checking alignment every 12,000 miles or after hitting a significant pothole.

Hunter Alignment Technology — The Industry Gold Standard

Not all alignment machines are created equal. Lykon Automotive uses the Hunter Engineering alignment system — the same technology trusted by dealerships and top-tier shops worldwide. Hunter's precision sensors measure your vehicle's alignment angles to within fractions of a degree, ensuring a truly accurate result every time.

After every alignment, you receive a printed before-and-after report showing exactly what was measured and what was corrected. No guesswork, no vague explanations — just clear data you can see and understand.

The 3 Alignment Angles — What We Measure & Adjust

Proper alignment involves three precise measurements. When any of these are off, your tires wear unevenly and your vehicle handles poorly.

Camber
Inward/Outward Tilt
The vertical angle of your tire when viewed from the front. Negative camber (top tilted in) or positive camber (top tilted out) causes uneven inner or outer tire wear and affects cornering stability.
Toe
Inward/Outward Pointing
Whether your tires point inward (toe-in) or outward (toe-out) when viewed from above. Incorrect toe is the most common cause of rapid, feathered tire wear and is the most frequently adjusted angle.
Caster
Steering Axis Angle
The angle of the steering axis when viewed from the side. Caster affects steering stability, straight-line tracking, and how your steering wheel returns to center after a turn.

Our Hunter system measures all three angles on all four wheels simultaneously — giving you a complete picture of your vehicle's alignment.

Signs Your Alignment Is Off

Vehicle Pulls to One Side
If you have to constantly correct the steering wheel to drive straight, your alignment is almost certainly off.
Crooked Steering Wheel
Your steering wheel should be perfectly centered when driving straight. If it's off-center, alignment is needed.
Uneven Tire Wear
Tires wearing faster on the inside or outside edge, or showing a feathered pattern, are classic signs of misalignment.
Steering Wheel Vibration
Vibration through the steering wheel at highway speeds can indicate alignment or balance issues — or both.
Drifting After Potholes
Hit a big pothole or curb recently? That impact can knock your alignment out of spec immediately.
Reduced Fuel Economy
Misaligned wheels create rolling resistance, making your engine work harder and burning more fuel.

The Real Cost of Ignoring Alignment

A wheel alignment at Lykon Automotive is one of the best investments you can make in your vehicle. Here's what proper alignment actually saves you:

Tire Life
Up to 12,000 extra miles per set
Fuel Economy
Up to 10% better MPG

Less Wear
Reduced stress on suspension parts

When Should You Get an Alignment?

Every 12,000 miles
As a general rule, have your alignment checked annually or every 12,000 miles as part of routine maintenance.
After hitting a pothole or curb
A significant impact can immediately knock your alignment out of spec. Get it checked right away.
After suspension or steering repairs
Any time suspension components are replaced — struts, control arms, tie rods — alignment must be reset.
When buying new tires
Protect your new tire investment from day one. Always align before or when installing new tires.
When you notice any warning signs
Pulling, uneven wear, or a crooked steering wheel are all reasons to come in immediately.
